Healthy Diet For Healthy Life

Nutrition is the science which interpreted the nutrients and all other substances contained in the food or beverage relative to his or her nutrition, growth, maintenance, reproduction and health of organisms. It involves absorption, assimilation, absorption, biosynthesis, metabolism and excretion. The nutritionists are responsible for ensuring that a proper balance of nutrients is maintained in the body to enable the normal functioning of the body. The process of nutritional assessment is also known as food chemistry. Nutrition is a branch of health science which studies the relationship between the diet and nutrition, especially the nutritional requirements of the human being.

The concepts of nutrition are generally divided into two types; the primary nutrition and the secondary nutrition. In primary nutrition the concepts are primarily based on the role of enzymes in digestion of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and vitamins and the role of digestive organs in absorbing nutrients. On the other hand in secondary nutrition the concepts are largely based on the physiology of cells. In primary nutrition the concepts are primarily focused on the absorption of nutrients in the gastrointestinal tract, the utilization of dietary calories after digestion and the assimilation of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Whereas in secondary nutrition the concepts are mainly focused on absorption, utilization, assimilation and excretion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

There are three major theories on nutrition that are widely accepted today. The first theory on nutrition is called the biochemistry theory which postulates that the foods that we eat provide the necessary nutrients for our body growth and development. The second theory on nutrition is called the homeoecology theory which postulates that the foods that we eat can actually tell us about our ancestors. And thirdly there is the concept of nutritional psychology, which postulates that certain foods trigger our innate desire to eat and others we need to avoid. The latter theory on nutrition suggests that a person’s eating habit can be controlled by the way they feel after consuming certain food choices.

Nutrition and diet play an important role in our health and in the prevention of diseases. It is important to take care of nutrition and eat healthy foods. This will keep us away from many different types of diseases and at the same time enable us to live a longer life span. Various methods are adopted in order to ensure a well managed nutrition. However, a balanced diet as per the requirement cannot be achieved as it is not possible to judge a food according to its quantity or its quality.

In order to achieve good nutrition regime different types of diets are followed. One needs to analyze the type of nutrition required for a specific disease. Some of the common types of diets followed include macrobiotic, fad diets, orthocalcemic, biodynamic, hypocalcemic, and glycemic. Among these different types of diets there is a special type of diet called heterotrophic nutrition.

Heterotrophic nutrition involves mixing up of proteins, carbohydrates and fat. In this type of nutrition all the three essential nutrient substances are mixed up together. Some of the substances that are mixed are proteins, fats, lipids and amino acids. Autotrophic mode of digestion is one of the most effective ways of digestion as it can digest all the three essential substances.

Some of the common types of foods included in heterotrophic diet are algae, berries, carrots, broccoli, lettuce, peas, spinach, swakkeras, collard greens and Swiss chard. In order to keep a healthy body and maintain an alkaline condition good nutrition includes use of sea vegetables in order to provide calcium and magnesium to the body. Fruits and vegetables are rich sources of antioxidants, which help in eliminating free radicals and also control acidity levels in the body. Some of the nutrients that are used in order to control acidity are citric acid, malic acid, tartaric acid and oxalic acid. Calcium and magnesium are also important for the growth and development of healthy cells and tissues and so these nutrients should be added to your diet as they are required for good bone density.

It has been observed that low calorie diet can actually increase the risk of developing cancer. Therefore, the best way of maintaining a healthy body is through controlling calorie intake. There are various dietary sources that can be counted as low-calorie diet and they include rice, beans, green and leafy vegetables, avocados, walnuts, almonds, fruits like orange and grapes etc. It has been observed that by controlling calorie intake you can reduce the risk of developing cancer and obesity too. Hence, if you wish to remain fit and fine you should consume under proper conditions.
